Before the New Year rolls out, make sure to stop by the North Pole. Only a 20-minute drive from our resort, you’ll be able to meet Santa, his helpers, live reindeer, and much more. This wonderful fantasy village will be a family favorite to cherish for a lifetime. Starting in 1949, Santa’s Workshop is one of the oldest theme parks in the United States. You won’t want to miss this place on the last few days of the year.
If you’re wanting to get out and experience the beauty of New York in the wintertime. Head to Ausable Chasm. It’s about an hours drive from our resort, but a perfect place to go for an outdoor adventure. This amazing place is great year-round. In the summer you can see the glorious waterfalls as they roar. In the winter, those waterfalls freeze and become a gorgeous icicle display. Ausable Chasm has 1-2 hour guided tours or you can walk around at your own pace.
Spend your days looking at beautiful winter views with a Cloudspitter Gondola Ride. You’ll love seeing the Whiteface Mountain from a 360 degrees. Just don’t forget your camera! Capture amazing moments of your trip while visiting the mountain. Then come home to the Whiteface Lodge to warm up with a relaxing spa treatment at our Lake Placid sanctuary.
