Spring is here, and warmer weather is increasing. You’ll find hiking trails for every skill levels throughout the Adirondack state park, from rugged mountain adventurers to family-friendly trails with scenic views of cascading waterfalls and rock formations. The High Peaks are beautiful and popular hiking destinations, so we’d recommend exploring them in Spring to avoid the huge crowds. The melted glaciers that carved out the valleys of the Adirondack Mountains left-place to refreshing ponds you’ll be able to see through many hikes, like the trail that leads up to three ponds Owen, Copperas and Winch Ponds in the Sentinel Range are an easy loop with gorgeous scenery. These three ponds are a local favorite!

If you’re looking to adventure to the next level, experience the Wilmington Wild Trails Systems, this moderate trail overlooks the Whiteface valley. For something even more challenging, set out to hike up the 5th high peak of New York State. There are several trails to reach the top.
