THE WHITEFACE LODGE ADDS MANAGEMENT STAFF
TO ITS SALES & CATERING DEPARTMENTS
LAKE PLACID, NY (April 5, 2011) -- The Whiteface Lodge, Lake Placid, today announced that it has appointed new managers for two departments—Sales, and Catering / Conference Services.
Rosette Press, who formerly served as Lead Concierge at the Lodge for four years, was promoted to Sales Manager and will report directly to Phil Anderson, the General Manager. Rosette’s skill set is an ideal match for the Lodge’s high volume of spring, summer and fall weddings, special events and conferences— she is an intelligent, outgoing and sophisticated individual with a natural ability to understand a client’s needs and offer creative solutions. From her previous position as Lead Concierge, she also understands and maintains the Lodge’s superb level of service in all of her duties. Her new responsibilities include promoting and contracting all of the property’s special events—including weddings, family reunions and corporate meetings.
Rosette will work closely with the Lodge’s new Catering and Conference Services Manager, Emily Foti. Rosette and Emily are a strong team and they will ensure that every client receives personalized attention and that each event is flawlessly developed and implemented.
Prior to being named as the new Catering & Conference Manager, Emily Foti worked at the Lodge in the position of Sales and Marketing Assistant. In her new position, Emily is charged with coordinating all details for the Lodge’s banquets, weddings and conferences, and she reports directly to Mr. Anderson. Her range of duties involves working with managers from a range of onsite departments—Food and Beverage, Spa, Rooms, as well as liaising with any outside vendors. For weddings, Emily has established solid relationships with local Lake Placid photographers, florists, musicians and cake designers / pastry chefs to ensure that bridal couples have access to an impressive range of first-class services and amenities to make their day uniquely personal and memorable. Additionally, as the key point of contact for all details regarding onsite events, Emily works with Rosette to ensure that all contracts and proper billing procedures are in order and finalized prior to each event.
“With Rosette and Emily on board, our goal is to exceed the number of weddings, conferences and group meetings that the Lodge hosted in 2010, which was our best year ever for special events,” said Phil Anderson, General Manager, the Whiteface Lodge. “Rosette and Emily each bring an impressive set of skills, as well as a shared vision to assist our clients in achieving their goals, whether it’s a summer wedding, a spring vow renewal ceremony or a winter Board of Directors meeting.”
Rosette has been a full-time Lake Placid resident for eight years. She previously visited the area every year for summer vacations and loved the lifestyle so much that she selected it for full-time residency. Emily relocated to Lake Placid after graduating from Paul Smith’s College (Paul Smith, NY) where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel, Resort and Tourism Management.
