A “SUITE HOLIDAY PACKAGE” FROM THE WHITEFACE LODGE:
BOOK ONE NIGHT AND RECEIVE THE NEXT NIGHT FREE

LAKE PLACID, NY (December 7, 2010) – The Whiteface Lodge, Lake Placid today launched a “Suite Holiday Package,” available Sundays through Thursdays, and select weekends, until the end of January 2011*. For each night booked, the all-suite Lodge will give guests one free night—much like the “buy one, get one free strategy” that is common in the retail world. The offer is effective immediately and can be applied to any of the Lodge’s range of junior, one, two and three-bedroom suites.

To further “sweeten” the package, guests who enjoy the Whiteface Lodge’s holiday savings package will also receive a generous range of gratis amenities and activities (available to all guests year-round) such as a daily full American hot / cold breakfast buffet in the property’s main dining area, Kanu; use of the Lodge’s onsite heated indoor/outdoor pool; access to the steam and sauna rooms in the property’s 5,800-square-foot Spa; a fully-equipped game room featuring foosball, air hockey, billiards and a two-lane bowling alley; nightly s’mores; use of the onsite ice skating rink with complimentary ice skates; an onsite 54-seat movie theater as well as the Lodge’s complimentary children’s program called “Kamp Kanu.” Other gratis Lodge services include nightly turndown service with warm homemade cookies, twice-daily housekeeping service and round-trip shuttle transport to the town of Lake Placid.

Prices for the “Suite Holiday Package” are as follows—a junior suite is $388.42 per night, a one-bedroom suite is $521.35 per night, a two-bedroom suite is $1,087.01 per night, and a three-bedroom suite is $1,264.96 per night.

Earlier this fall, the Whiteface Lodge established a new guest room “all inclusive” pricing policy where the price that is posted is the final price paid at check-out—meaning that guests will not receive any additional taxes, surcharges or resort fees on top of the guest room price. The new policy applies to the “Suite Holiday Package.”

“We understand that couples, friends and families are budget conscious this holiday season and we wanted to offer a compelling and price-friendly program that would enable them to enjoy the Lodge’s many activities and amenities as well as experience the village of Lake Placid and the beautiful Adirondack Mountains,” said Phil Anderson, General Manager, The Whiteface Lodge.  “Additionally, our new guest room all-inclusive pricing program was developed mainly in response to feedback from our guests. The Lodge enjoys a high-level of repeat business and we believe this is due, in large part, to the fact that we listen and respond to our guests’ recommendations.”

The Whiteface Lodge is managed by Gemstone Hotels & Resorts, a hotel management and asset management company specializing in luxury and upscale urban hotels and complex resorts. Additionally, the Lodge is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
