The Whiteface Lodge Wins Wine Spectator’s
Award of Excellence for Fourth Consecutive Year

LAKE PLACID, NY (July, 2010) – –For the fourth consecutive year, the WhitefaceLodge has earned Wine Spectator’s 2010 Award of Excellence for its inspired wine program at Kanu, The Lodge’s main dining venue. Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence is determined by rigorous evaluations of wine lists, service, cuisine and ambience. The Lodge’s wine list features approximately 400 selections, representing the major wine regions of the world. Reflecting Kanu’s diverse cuisine, many selections have been chosen to complement the menu selections without masking the flavor. For example, Kanu is currently highlighting select wines and wine regions from New York State to accent the menu’s rich and robust array of flavors.

“Our extensive wine list was created to be very accessible to all, from novice wine drinkers to connoisseurs.
