The Whiteface Lodge is a premiere Lake Placid family resort. We are pleased to offer our gratis signature children’s program, KAMP KANU. Kamp Kanu offers a day camp to our guest’s ages 3-6, 7-10 and 11-14 (summer only). While making new friends and playing outdoors each participant will be lead by highly qualified and trained counselors through crafts, activities, experiments, games and more. The programs run daily through the summer beginning June 26 and carrying on through September 5. Then the programs run weekends and holidays throughout the year. The daily themed programs are Sunday: Animal Adventures, Monday: Mad Science, Tuesday: Tour the World, Wednesday: Wet and Wacky, Thursday: Nature Nuts, Friday: Fun with Frogs and Saturday: Space Camp. 11-14 year olds will experience the great outdoors through hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming in this off site adventure camp.

Sunset Club

In addition to the daily offering of KAMP KANU, we also offer an evening program for children, Sunset Club, designed to offer parents the opportunity to enjoy a fine dining experience in KANU Restaurant while their children simultaneously enjoy a pizza dinner and an evening of fun themed activities and games. Daily theme nights are Sunday: Hip Hop Party, Monday Pirates at Play, Tuesday: Space Night, Wednesday: Beach Party, Thursday: Disco Night, Friday: Mexican Fiesta and Saturday: Hawaiian Luau. This program runs daily through the summer beginning June 25 and carrying on through September 4. Then the program runs Friday and Saturday evenings and holidays throughout the year. This service is available via our concierge service and requires advance reservations.
